Hello Chaladi. My name is Armando. I live in Oregon. I am an IT person and usually can figure almost anything out. However, I now have a problem for which I may not have a solution. I use Gallery Lock Pro. I had the app hidden and was opening it using the dialer. But I forgot the password. I read that you can uninstall the program, reinstall it again and recover your files. That has not worked for me. When I start the program an error occurs. “An error has occurred because the selected image is too large”. The program will start but it will not recover any files. I’ve also looked through the files and folders on the phone and see nothing related to Gallery Lock. One of the issues being that my phone does not have an sdcard slot. I’m beginning to suspet that I have lost those files forever.
If you have the time, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with no sdcard slot. Running Android 7

Hello Armando,
Even if your phone has SD card, Android has put restrictions that 3rd party Apps cannot write data to external SD card, so Gallery lock themselves are now using internal storage to store the pics/videos to hide them.
Is your phone rooted? This is a very important question that needs to be clarified before we go further into any discussion because the files we need to access are protected and must need root access.
Please reply back, so we can take this discussion further to try resolve your problem.

Hi!
I am using Xperia ion lt28h. I use gallery lock (lite), recently I inserted an old sd card in my phone and tried to place the pictures in mnt/sdcard but it stopped showing me the pictures, then i changed it to mnt/ext_sdcard and the same error occurred again. They show slm or slt format rather than jpg. i tried to convert them back into jpg but all in vain. I uninstalled the app but it wasnt successful. however its icon isnt visible and its lost in the internal storage as a file which cannot be copied or opened.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hi Mary,
Do u currently have the slm files now?
If so, try installling smart lock again and then put those files in folder as specified in the post and then scan for lost files…
And btw have u tried pixrecovery tool?
